The mark of Christ
Is plain as day
For those of us who see.
Not everyone is chosen though,
So steadfast we must be.
Keep that oil full;
Be ready for that day;
For the mark of Christ on His beloved
Is not all that we need.
We whom that are chosen,
Although the mark is seen,
Must live a life of virtue,
Our senses must be keen.
Both the works of mercy,
and Commandments ten,
Must be heeded surely;
May God have mercy on us then.
